The pattern has landed!

I have it in my hot little hands and excited to start. I need to finalize a yarn choice first. I was going to use some rainbow yarn that I had messed up on, but maybe I would like to use up something else instead. Hmmm....

Oh my gosh, so jealous! Did you order yours from Schoolhouse? I haven't gotten mine yet :(

I think rainbow would be really pretty!

I did, Morwenna! I'm surprised you don't have yours yet. Mine came in a regular letter sized envelope.

i got mine today too!!! Kim, did you get the adult version? I have to admit, I *slightly* intimidated at the directions, only because I am used to reading things already figured out for me. The last time I had to think so much was when I learned the P-Pants pattern.

Hey, mine came today too!! Ok, now I have to admit to you guys that I have NEVER made a sweater or anything similar. You are going to hold my hand, right? It looks straightforward so far, but I didn't read thoroughly yet. Do you all measure a well-fitting sweater like she recommends? I do have Graydon to try it on also, he's about the same size as Rowan although they are almost 2 years apart.

morwenna, i would not consider this "anything similar" to a sweater! it's more like a tablecloth with seemingly randomly placed increases and decreases!

Alrighty, I cast on last night. It took a few read throughs before it clicked what she wanted us to do. Seriously, I almost missed how to work the decreases!

I'm about 6 rows into it and the math portion about killed me, but I think I've got it now. I didn't measure a sweater, but only because I know what size chest circ. I like for Dominic.

I'm using the rainbow yarn, two different un-matching skeins, so I'm alternating every other row.

Hurray for you. EZ patterns definitely take a little getting used to. I'm interested to see how the two alternating colorways are looking...

Keep that key number handy!!! You'll need to use it a lot, and having it written on the pattern in pencil is WAY easier than counting your cast-on cuff-edge stitches and trying to back-calculate because you forgot it! (Yeah, ask me how I know... LOL!)

I suppose I better go dig out my stuff....only now I'm rethinking my yarn choice. I have this lovely soft wool that I got on clearance at JoAnns, but it's all pale colors (blue, aqua, yellow)and white. I'd love to use it....but I probably should not waste it on Bub, who is likely to be a messy BOY this spring. I think I'll shoot for BRIGHT this time.

Stell, I would definitely do bright for Bub. Landen's is going to be either bright or dark colors, I haven't decided which.
